McGee has won a Gold Award for its commitment to the community in the International Corporate Social Responsibility Excellence Awards.
In the campaign to find the most caring companies, McGee competed against more than 100 other nominations. They received their trophy and certificate at a presentation ceremony at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA), London, on 22nd July 2019.
As a result of this International CSR Excellence Award success, McGee has been invited to achieve CSR World Leader status and have their winning paper published in The Global Guide to CSR Excellence (the leading international work of reference on corporate social responsibility best practice) so that others around the world can learn from their achievement.
Marc Byrne, Head of Corporate Social Responsibility at McGee, said:
“We are thrilled to have had our community commitment efforts recognised and rewarded with a prestigious International CSR Excellence accolade.
“As considerate constructors, it is important to us that we are sympathetic to the needs and demands of local communities and we maintain and enhance the prestige and iconic character of the areas in which we work.
“We are committed to working with the local communities every step of the way to ensure we continually improve the image of construction beyond our hoarding, and create a positive legacy long after we have left site.”
The aim of the International CSR Excellence Awards is to recognise, reward and promote Corporate Social Responsibility.
