McGee has won an International Corporate Social Responsibility Excellence Award in the campaign to find the most caring companies.
They competed against more than 100 other nominations in the International CSR Excellence Awards 2019 and they will receive their trophy and certificate at a presentation ceremony at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA), London, on 22nd July 2019.
As a result of this International CSR Excellence Award success, they have been invited to achieve CSR World Leader status and have their winning paper published in The Global Guide to CSR Excellence (the leading international work of reference on corporate social responsibility best practice) so that others around the world can follow their lead and learn from their achievement.
Marc Byrne, Head of Corporate Social Responsibility at McGee, said:
“We are thrilled to have our community commitment efforts recognised and rewarded with a prestigious International CSR Excellence accolade and we are looking forward to receiving our first CSR Excellence Award in the first year of entering.
“As considerate constructors, it is important to us that we are sympathetic to the needs and demands of local communities and we maintain and enhance the prestige and iconic character of the areas in which we work.
“We are committed to working with the local communities every step of the way to ensure we continually improve the image of construction beyond our hoarding, and create a positive legacy long after we have left site.”
Category champions in 2018 included ITV and British Gas.
The aim of the International CSR Excellence Awards is to recognise, reward and promote Corporate Social Responsibility, and to help publicise winners so that others are encouraged to follow their lead.
