McGee, a specialist engineering contractor delivering high-profile, complex engineering projects, is pleased to have been appointed to deliver demolition and enabling works at the major residential redevelopment of St John’s Wood Barracks, London.
McGee is due to commence work on the scheme in late October 2022 and will deliver an integrated collection of specialist activities, including asbestos removal, UKPN works, demolition and enabling works.

The 2.2-hectare site, which served as headquarters for the Royal Horse Artillery until 2012, is located in the heart of St John’s Wood between Finchley Road and Primrose Hill. The site will be transformed into a high-quality residential development providing c.120 private and 100 affordable homes. The development will celebrate and commemorate the Barrack’s history and remain in keeping with the surrounding area.
